ASSIGNMENT 1: Physical and Chemical Properties and Changes
The two pictures below show butter in two different states of matter. The definition of physical change is a change in the size, shape or state of matter of an object. The butter did not change the chemical make up of it only the shape is different.This means that the example below is a physical change.
Chemical Change: The pictures below show the cake changing its chemical balance. The definition of chemical change is the change of substances to different substances. The ingredients get chemically changed to become a completed cake which is a different substance then the original ingredients.

An example of physical property is an unripe banana banana and a ripe banana. The definition of physical property is the change in the material that can be observed like the changing banana color. A physical property can be seen with the regular eye, particually color, shape or state of matter.
An example of chemical property is rain changing a nail to a rusty nail. Chemical Property means it changes the chemical inside the object and it is not just a visible change. This is a chemical property becasue the rain changes the element in the nail.
